Abstract:[Objective]With the acceleration of population growth and urbanization, the scale of urban areas continues to expand, and the construction of urban underground engineering inevitably interacts with existing operating pipelines.Underground pipelines have functions such as water supply, rainwater and sewage treatment, transportation of fossil energy, transmission of cable television signals, and power transmission. They bear the responsibility of supplying and transporting water, electricity, information, and energy and are called the"nerves"and"blood vessels"of the city. They are even the"lifeline"that stabilizes the operation of the city.Leakage and rupture of pipelines and even further road collapse not only seriously affect traffic but also pose major safety hazards for urban drainage systems.Every year,a large amount of manpower and material resources need to be invested in the detection and maintenance of underground pipelines in various regions.[Methods]A detection scheme for underground pipelines based on ground penetrating radar(GRP)technology was proposed to address the common problems of distribution, damage, and leakage of underground pipelines in municipal roads.By detecting data from different types of pipelines and combining principle analysis, experiments, and numerical simulation verification, this study explored the mechanism of road subsidence caused by pipeline leakage.[Results]This scheme is based on the detection principle of ground penetrating radar and uses map feature recognition methods to obtain parameters related to the distribution, burial depth, pipe diameter, material, internal medium, and voids of underground pipelines.By combining signal data such as pseudo-color level map, gray level map,and waveform stacking map,a finite element model was established, and the leakage characteristics of pipelines were comprehensively analyzed to study and reveal the development trend of leakage and its damage mechanism to road structure.[Conclusion]Research has shown that road damage is influenced by multiple factors, including road vehicle loads, internal pressure of pipelines, and pipeline burial depth and diameter. The operation status and stress characteristics of pipelines can be evaluated by reverse analysis of ground penetrating radar reflection images and numerical simulation of dynamic consolidation of road surface diseases. On this basis, optimizing pipeline layout points and materials, strengthening pipeline superstructure design, and enhancing anti-settlement protection of roadbeds can be conducted to avoid post-construction road settlement and cracking.Research suggests preventing damage to roadbed structures and pipelines by adjusting the position of stress points, expanding the stress area, and avoiding stress concentration.Based on detection data and numerical simulation, this paper compares the deformation characteristics of different types of pipelines, summarizes the laws of pipeline leakage, and provides guidance for the subsequent directional excavation of underground engineering and the investigation of urban road disasters.
