Abstract:In order to find a more favorable erection scheme for stiffening girder of triple-tower suspension bridge during construction, a triple-tower suspension bridge with the main span of 2000 m was taken as the object, and the influence of different erection sequences of both mid-span and side-span stiffening girders on the saddle offset of side-tower, main cable type, closure position, construction method for closure segment, and dynamic response of structure in the erection process was studied with the combination method of parameter analysis and finite element numerical simulation. The results indicate that it is preferable to erect girders from the mid-span to the tower for the main span stiffening girder of super long span triple-tower suspension bridge, and it is suitable to erect girders from the anchor to the side tower for the side-span stiffening girder. The proposed scheme has small horizontal dip angle of main cable, large fundamental torsional frequency, better flutter stability and small traction force with employing the pre-closure method. Therefore, the proposed scheme is more beneficial to bridge construction.
