Infrared information detection system for gas concentration based on NDIR
YUAN Long-yin
Abstract:Aiming at the problems of long-term drift and poor stability existing in gas detection system with the thermal light source, the infrared information detection system for gas concentration was designed and developed in combination with the dual-channel detection method based on non-dispersion infrared (NDIR) gas detection technology. The double ellipsoid gas chamber structure was adopted in the system, the long optical path could be achieved in small space, and thus, the minimum detection limit for gas concentration could be reduced.Meanwhile, the two-parameter temperature compensation method was introduced to reduce the effect of temperature drift on both infrared detector and hardware circuit, and to improve the stability and reliability of the system. In the experiment, an improved static gas distribution method was used to test the performances. The results show that the minimum detection limit for the methane gas concentration reaches 5×10-5.The present system has a certain practical application value.
