Abstract:In order to improve the energy utilization ratio of milling process, a milling parameter optimization method through taking chatter-free cutting as the constraint condition and energy utilization ratio as the optimization target was proposed.Based on the energy consumption characteristics of machine tool, the chatter-free milling parameter optimization model to improve the energy utilization ratio was established. The optimization region of spindle speed was determined with the stable domain diagram of cutting, and the optimization regions of cutting depth, cutting width and feed rate were determined with such conditions as the cutting force, cutting power and cutting speed. In addition, the cutting parameters were quickly obtained through reasonably choosing the optimization intervals of various parameters. The verification experiments were carried out through taking a five-axis engraving and milling machine as the test machine tool and 45# steel as the cutting material. The results show that the proposed parameter optimization method can greatly improve the energy utilization ratio.
