Anti-slip regulation system of vehicle based on combination control
Abstract:In order to improve the acceleration performance of front-wheel driving vehicles on both low adhesion and bisectional roads,an anti-slip regulation(ASR) system based on the combination control of both throttle and braking interference was designed. At lower vehicle velocities, the velocity difference between front and rear wheels was chosen as ASR control variable. At slightly higher vehicle velocities, the slip ratio of driving wheels was selected as ASR control variable.A torque sensor was used to test the optimum slip ratio on low adhesion road, and the identification method for the operating conditions of ASR based on the slip degree of vehicle wheels was designed. In addition, the combination control logic of throttle and braking interference on both low adhesion and bisectional roads was developed. The real vehicle tests based on JETTA GTX car were carried out.The results show that the developed system control logic is reasonable, and can perform accurate identification for operating conditions. Moreover, the velocity difference between front and rear wheels can be controlled within 7 km/h at lower vehicle velocities, and the slip ratio of driving wheels can be controlled within about 20% at slightly higher vehicle velocities. And thus the acceleration performance of vehicles gets improved.
