Finite element analysis of influence of chap surface on wear resistance of wearable overlay

Abstract：The influnce of geometric chap surface on the wear resistance of wearable overlay was inves-etigated by using finite element analysis to calculate stress and Fortran77 language to develop a finite element program which run under the Fortran PowerStation 4.0 condition.The results showed that geometric chap can relax welding residual stress.On certain conditions,it is likely to enhance the abrasive wear resistance of surface.
