Abstract：The welded box girder of overhead traveling crane is one kind of cranes used in general plants.The welded box girder is the major loaded part and its weight takes the major part of the machine’s total weight.In order to improve the capacity of the cranes, a kind of optimization model based on the analyzing of loading condition and a optimization design according to it is done.
