Research on load carrying capacity and friction-reduction of extreme pressure lubricants

Abstract：Load carrying capacity of several material friction pairs and several high performance lubri cants were evaluated on MHK-500 tester (similar Timken tester).The result indicated that load carrying capacity varies with friction pairs material and hardness,hardness/hardness pair has the highest load carrying capacity.High quality lubricants increase carrying capacity friction pairs of and decrease friction coefficient
