Action of lubricant in tribological design of gear

Abstract：It is getting more and more important in the tribological design of gear with the development of gear drive techniques. Based on the analysis of improvement and characterization of lubricants, an important action of lubricants in gear design is introduced, and the gear running is necessary step in production process. While the development of running-in technique and the quality of lubricants, which constrain fatigue and scuffing of gear, gear life will be longer, and design and manufacture will be easier.
