Clinical Effect of Cold Therapy Method on Perioperative Hidden Blood Loss of Femoral Intertrochan-teric Fracture in Middle-aged and Elderly Patients
Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical effect of cold therapy method on perioperative hidden blood loss of femoral intertrochanteric fracture in middle-aged and elderly patients through clinical case analysis. Methods From March 2016 to June 2017,45 cases of femoral intertrochanteric fracture treated with proximal femoral nail proximal femoral nail PFNA in Gaobu hospital of Dongguan City were divided into treatment group and control group according to whether the frozen treatment period were used.In the treatment group, from the day of admission to 5 days after the operation, the patients accept the cold therapy about 1 hour every 8 hours. The control group did not undergo cold thera-py.By recording the height and weight of the two groups, the hematocrit, hemoglobin and blood coagulation in the 1st, 3rd and 7th days before and after operation were recorded. The blood loss and the latent blood loss were calculated by Gross equation. And the blood coagulation function in the treatment group and the control group was compared to as-sess whether the cold therapy method could affect the blood coagulation function and lead to the aggravation of the low-er limb venous thrombosis. Results After analysis and comparison, there was no significant difference in age, height and weight between the treatment group and the control group. And the hidden blood loss in the treatment group was (468.58± 60.82)mL.The control group were(771.79 ±87.24)mL.The treatment group was significantly better than the control group. The two groups's hidden blood loss was significantly different. There was no significant difference be-tween the treatment group and the control group on the coagulation function of the patients. Conclusion As a local treatment method, cold therapy can effectively reduce the hidden blood loss during the perioperative period of femoral intertrochanteric fracture in middle-aged and elderly patients, and has no significant effect on coagulation factors of the whole body.It is a relatively safe treatment method, which is worthy of clinical application.
