Abstract:Objective To evaluate the influence of the prosthesis position parameters on joint function recovery after total hip arthroplasty(THA). Methods Weretrospectively analysis the clinical data of 246 THA patients from June 2008 to June 2014. Prosthesis position parameters includedthe acetabular abduction, acetabular anteversion, acetabulum rotation center and the femoral eccentricity. Record the Harris score at the time of the last follow-up. The prosthesis position parameters are grouped according to isometric grouping method, contrast the Harris score and the fine rate of the different groups. Results The dislocation rate after THA was 1. 22%(3 / 246);The number of the patients whose acetabular abduction 35° ~ 55° was 185 cases, accounted for 75. 2% ;acetabular anteversion 5° ~ 25° 174 cases, accounting for 70. 7% . The acetabulum rotation center and the femoral eccentricity of the operation side compared with the contralateral had statistically significant differences( P <0. 05). The mean duration of follow-up was(18. 32 ±6. 57)months,the average Harris score an the last follow-up was(90. 76 ± 8. 45),the fine rate was 88. 6%(218 / 246). The differences of the Harris score and the fine rate between different groups of the acetabular anteversion and horizontal position of the acetabulum rotation center had no statistical significance(P > 0. 05);The differences of the Harris score between different groups of the acetabular abduction and vertical position of the acetabulum rotation center and the femoral eccentricity had no statistical significance(P > 0. 05);but the difference of the fine rate had no statistical significance(P > 0. 05). Conclusion THA prosthesis position can affect the postoperative hip joint function recov-ery,the acetabular abduction > 55 ° or < 35% ;the femoral eccentricity increase/ decrease > 20% of the contralateral;the ver-tical position of the acetabulum rotation center > 50% of the contralateral were unfavorable.
