Abstract:Objective To analyze the clinical efficacy of a Zero-profile implant for anterior cervical discectomy and fusion for single segment of cervical spondylosis myelopathy(CSM). Methods All clinical data of 24 cases of patients with single segment CSM were analyzed retrospectively, and they were treated with a Zero-profile implant for anterior cervical discectomy and fusion in our department from January 2013 to October 2015. The data of preoperative, after 1 month and last follow-up of patients with JOA score,VAS score,NDI index, cervical Cobb angle and disc height and other indicators will be statistical com-pared to evaluate the surgical clinical efficacy . Results All patients were followed up for 7 ~ 3 2 months with an average of 12. 7 months,24 cases of patients main symptoms were significantly reduced. There was no adverse complications. Postoperative symptoms improved with time. The JOA score, the VAS score, the NDI index, the cervical intervertebral height and the Cobb angle were improved significantly compared with the preoperative dataone month after operation and during last follow-up. The difference was statistically significant(P < 0. 05). In addition, the JOA score are improving with time, the difference was statis-tically significant(P < 0. 05). Conclusion The recent clinical efficacy of a Zero-P for single segment of CSM is satisfactory and reliable, and it has the advantages of less damage, significantly improved symptoms, good fusion and restore intervertebral height and fewer complications.
