Abstract:Objective To measure the orientation of the coracoclavicular ligaments,in order to guide surgeons in recon-structing the coracoclavicular ligaments. Methods Thirty-four shoulders in 17 cadavers were included. The center of the co-noid and trapezoid ligaments on the clavicle and the coracoid process were marked out,two K-wires were drilled from the center of the conoid and trapezoid ligaments on the clavicle to the center of the two ligaments on the coracoid process respectively. The oblique angle of the two K-wires were measured respectively, which were the angle of the orientation of the coracoclavicular lig-aments. Results The abduction angle and retroversion angle of the trapezoid ligament was(39. 39 ± 1. 02)°(36. 8° ~ 42. 0°) and( 6 . 04 ± 0 . 63 )°( 4 . 8 ° ~ 7 . 2 ° ),respectively . The abduction angle and retroversion angle of the conoid ligament was (6. 62 ± 0. 68)°(5. 5° ~ 8. 2°)and(10. 99 ± 1. 01)°(7. 0° ~ 12. 0°),respectively. Conclusion The findings of the angle of the orientation of the coracoclavicular ligaments can help to create bone tunnels to reconstruct the ligaments accurately in ac-romioclavicular joint dislocations.
