Acetabuloplasty and Proximal Femoral Shortening Osteotomy in Developmental Dislocation of the Hip
Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical outcome of combined surgery for developmental dislocation of the hip (DDH). Methods A total of 65 children(87 hips)with DDH underwent acetabuloplasty and proximal femoral shortening and varus rotational osteotomy from January 2012 to June 2014. Mckay evaluation criteria and Severin evaluation standard on hip function and imaging material were assessed. According to Mckay standard, the excellent rate was 95. 4% in the follow-up of 1 to 3 years. By Severin standard, the excellent rate was 93. 1% . Conclusion ombined acetabuloplasty and proximal femo-ral shortening and varus rotational osteotomy is a good treatment for DDH.
