Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of articular cavity pressure water injection and clip of the short-term drainage tube on blood loss after total knee arthroplastyMethods 68 elderly patients who had complete follow-up database of total knee replacement(TKA)are considered as the object of the retrospective research. We studied the index of the postoperative drain-age volume after 24 hours since the operation was completed, and hemoglobin and red blood cells deposited, complications, such as knee function HSS score on the operation day and the following day after the operation day. The experiment employs the SPSS17. 0 statistical software package. Quantitative data was compared with t test to find the different between the two groups, and the percentage was examed using X2 test. Results The research finds that the 24-hours average drainage volume of pres-surized water injection group after TKA was(312. 4 ± 197. 37)mL and the 24-hours drainage volume of continuous drainage group was(572. 29 ± 260. 07)mL,the comparison of which was statistically significant(P ﹤ 0. 05). The average blood-transfu-sion volume of pressurized water injection group after TKA was(221. 7 ± 152. 42)mL and its volume of continuous drainage group was(485. 71 ± 321. 32)mL,the comparison of which was statistically different(P ﹤ 0. 05). The average blood-loss vol-ume of pressurized water injection group after TKA is(554. 11 ± 260. 5)mL and its volume of continuous drainage group was (817. 07 ± 326. 74)mL,the comparison of which was statistically meaningful(P ﹤ 0. 05). Conclusion The conclusion is that the articular cavity pressure water injection combined with short clip can reduce the drainage volume significantly after op-eration compared with continuous drainage group, and also reduce the rate of blood transfusion and transfusion volume. In the meanwhile, the hemostatic effect of which is obvious. Furthermore,it does not increase the incidence of complications and is safety and reliable.
