Comparative Study for Different Materials of Double Plate for the Treatment of Intercondylar Frac-ture of Humerus:Evaluating Efficiency and Complications
Abstract：Objective To comparvative investigate the efficiency and complication of locking plates and unlocking plate for fix intercondylar fracture of humerus. Methods Sixty-five patient with fracture of the intercondylar humerus who were ad-mitted into our hospital from Jan. 2007 to Sep. 2012. According to AO/ASIF classification,all patients were type C. Results All patients were followed up for 6 to 24 months mean(14 ± 2)months. Neither infection of incisions,nor implantation failure were found. The good rate of Mayo score of locked plates was 85. 71%. And the good rate of mayo score of unlocked plates was 73. 34%. In the first year of follow-up,there were three patients with ulnar nerve palsy,and two patiens with heterotopic ossifi-cation. Conclusion Ostoperative outcome Double plate fixation via olecranon osteotomy is is satisfactory. Curative effect of an-atomical locked plates is better than unlocked plates.
