Theraputic Effects of Radiofrequency Ablation through Transforaminal Endoscopy by Accurate Po-sitioning on the Pain of Posterior Rami on Lumbar Spinal Nerves
Abstract:Objective To evaluate efficacy of radiofrequency ablation through transforaminal endoscopy by accurate posi-tioning on the pain of posterior rami on lumbar spinal nerves. Methods Between February 2012 to June 2013 a total of 21 ca-ses were retrospectively reviewed. They have got treatment of radiofrequency ablation through transforaminal endoscopy by ac-curate positioning on the pain of posterior rami on lumbar spinal nerves. There were 10 males and 11 females with a average age of 40. 2(28~60)years. The results were evaluated by Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)and Improved MacNab. Results All op-eration were successfully completed. The operative time was 55(35~75)mins and blood loss volume was 8. 5(5~10)mL. The preoperative and postoperative 3 days、3 months、6 months、1 year visual analogue scale( VAS )scores were( 7 . 6 ± 1 . 1 )、(2. 5 ± 0. 5)、(2. 6 ± 0. 7)、(3. 0 ± 0. 2)、(2. 7 ± 0. 6),After treatment the VAS was significantly better than Preoperative( P<0. 05),and last follow up the Improved MacNab was greater than 90%. Conclusion The effect of radiofrequency ablation through transforaminal endoscopy by accurate positioning on the pain of posterior rami on lumbar spinal nerves was sure, and positioning precision, less complications.
