Exploration of The Clinical Value of The Ipsilateral Medial Femoral Condyle of The Patellofemoral Joint Surface for Autologous Osteochondral Transplantation Therapy to The Talus Bone Cartilage Injury
Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical value of the ipsilateral medial femoral condyle of the patellofemoral joint surface for autologous osteochondral transplantation therapy to the talus bone cartilage injury, and to analyze its clinical applica_bility. Methods 20 cases of talar osteochondral injury patients were selected from March 2010 to December 2012 in our hos_pital for treatment. There were 13 cases of post_traumatic cartilage defect,3 cases of osteochondritis dissecans of the talus,1 case of focal osteoarthritis, three other cases. There were 6 cases of Stephon Ⅲ,11 cases of Stephon Ⅳ,3 cases of Stephon Ⅴ. We used the ipsilateral medial femoral condyle of the patellofemoral joint surface autologous osteochondral transplantation in the treatment of talar osteochondral injuries. Patients were followed up for 12 months, and observed the ankle pain conditions in patients, ankle range of activities to improve the situation, the ankle scores and ipsilateral knee function score situation before and after treatment. Ankle pain scores were using the VAS,and knee function score referring Harris, ankle function score using AOFAS. Results Postoperative ankle VAS pain scores decreased significantly, and the difference was statistically significant(t= 25. 662 9,P = 0. 000 0),while the change of the ipsilateral knee function score was no significant difference(χ2 = 0. 305 3, P = 0. 761 8),postoperative the range of the ankle joint and ankle joint function were significantly improved, the differences were statistically significant(P < 0. 05). Conclusion The use of the ipsilateral medial femoral condyle of the patellofemoral joint surface for autologous osteochondral transplantation therapy to the talus bone cartilage injury can be a good treatment and mitigation knee function.
