The application effect of levonorgestrel intrauterine contraceptive system combined with medroxypro-gesterone acetate in the treatment of patients with abnormal uterine bleeding during perimenopause by hysteroscopic resection

Abstract：Objective:To explore the application effect of levonorgestrel intrauterine contraceptive system combined with medroxyprogesterone acetate in the treatment of patients with abnormal uterine bleeding during perimenopause by hysteroscopic resection.Methods:A total of 80 patients with abnormal uterine bleeding during the perimenopause peri-od who were treated in Nanyang Second People's Hospital from January 2024 to December 2024 were selected and divid-ed into a control group and an observation group,with 40 cases in each group.The control group was treated with me-droxyprogesterone acetate,and the observation group was treated with levonorgestrel intrauterine birth control system combined with medroxyprogesterone acetate.The menstrual volume[pictorial blood loss assessment chart(PBAC)score],endometrial thickness the levels of sex hormones[follicle stimulating hormone(FSH),estradiol(E2)and lute-inizing hormone(LH)],the incidence of complications and disease recurrence rate were compared between the two groups.Results:Before treatment,there was no significant difference in PBCA score,endometrial thickness and FSH,E2 and LH levels between the two groups(P＞0.05).After treatment,the PBAC score,the endometrial thickness,FSH,E2 and LH levels were lower than those in the control group,with statistical significance(P＜0.05).The incidence of complications and disease recurrence rate in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,with statistical significance(P＜0.05).Conclusion:The use of levonorgestrel intrauterine contraceptive system combined with medroxyproges-terone acetate in the treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding during perimenopause can effectively improve patients' clinical bleeding symptoms and sex hormone levels,reduce the incidence of complications and disease recurrence.
