Observation on the therapeutic effect of stroke formula No.1 combined with acupuncture at governing vessel points in patients with qi-deficiency and blood stasis type cerebral infarction

Abstract：Objective:To explore the therapeutic effects of stroke formula No.1 combined with acupuncture at du meridian acupoints on patients who suffering from ischemic stroke of the qi-deficiency and blood stasis pattern.Meth-ods:All 130 patients with qi-deficiency and blood stasis type ischemic stroke admitted to jiangxi hospital of integrated traditional chinese and western medicine from January 2023 to December 2024 were randomly divided into control group and observation group,with 65 cases in each group.The control group received conventional western medicine interven-tions,while the observation group was treated with stroke formula No.1 combined with acupuncture at du meridian acupoints in addition to the conventional treatment.Clinical efficacy,neurological function indicators,electroencephalo-gram(EEG)-related indicators,and traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome scores of both groups were com-pared before and after treatment.The adverse reactions throughout the treatment period were also evaluated between the two groups.Results:A total of 60 cases in each group completed the study.After treatment,the clinical efficacy and the score of Montreal Cognitive Scale(MoCA)in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the scores of national institute of health stroke scale(NIHSS),brain symmetry index(BSI)and the ratio of(δ+θ)wave to(α+β)wave(DTABR)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion:The combination of stroke formula No.1 and acu-puncture at du meridian acupoints significantly improves patients'neurological function,EEG-related indicators,and TCM symptoms,enhances clinical efficacy,and is safe.Clinicians can flexibly select this combined treatment regimen based on the specific conditions of patients to improve their health status.
