Abstract:Objective:To explore the therapeutic effect of acupoint application combined with banxia xiexin tang on patients with mixed cold and heat postprandial discomfort syndrome(PDS).Methods:All 80 cases of PDS patients ad-mitted to the hospital from June 2022 to January 2024 were selected and grouped according to the number of consulta-tion,with the odd number as the treatment group and the even number as the control group, each with 40 cases. The control group was treated with western medicine, and on the basis of the control group, the observation group was trea-ted with acupoint plastering combined with banxia xiexin tang, both of which were treated for 4 weeks. The therapeutic effect,TCM syndrome score and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, there was significient difference(P<0.05).Af-ter treatment, the scores of traditional Chinese medicine symptoms such as bloating, cold and loose stools, bitter and dry mouth, belching, and noisy stomach were all reduced in both groups, and the observation group was lower than the con-trol group, there was significient difference(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in adverse reac-tions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Acupoint application combined with modified banxia xiexin tang has a satisfactory therapeutic effect on patients with mixed cold and heat PDS,and can improve clinical symptoms with certain safety.
