Abstract:Objective:To investigate the correlation between folate metabolism related enzyme genes and homocys-teine(Hey)with gestational hypertension(HDP).Methods:All 340 pregnant women with HDP who received treat-ment in putuo district maternity and infant health hospital were selected as the observation group, and the inclusion pe-riod was from May 2023 to February 2025.During the same period,300 healthy pregnant women were selected as the control group.Baseline data, laboratory indexes and folate metabolism related enzyme genes were compared between the two groups. Results:There was no significant difference in age and body mass index between the two groups(P>0.05).The diastolic blood pressure, systolic blood pressure,Hey,alkaline phosphatase(ALP)and uric acid(UA)in the observa-tion group were higher than those in the control group, the level of placental growth factor(PLGF)was lower than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the levels of aspartate aminotransferase(AST),alanine aminotransferase(ALT),blood urea nitrogen(BUN)and creati-nine(CREA)between the two groups(P>0.05).Spearman analysis showed that Hcy,ALP,UA levels were positively correlated with HDP,while PLGF levels were negatively correlated with HDP.Compared with the control group, the frequency of T alleles in the observation group was significantly higher, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Folate metabolism related enzyme genes and the levels of Hcy,ALP,UA,and PLGF are signifi-cantly correlated with HDP.
