Abstract:Objective:To explore the value of narrow-band imaging magnifying endoscopy(NBI-ME)in the di-agnosis of gastric intestinal metaplasia(GIM).Methods:A total of 251 patients who underwent NBI-ME gastroscopy in traditional chinese medicine hospital of wuhu from January 1,2023 to March 10,2024 were selected. The examination sequence was white light endoscopy first, and then NBI-ME was performed.Under NBI-ME,the light blue crest(LBC)of gastric antrum biggish curvature, gastric antrum minor curvature, gastric angle, gastric body biggish curvature and gastric body minor curvature were recorded respectively, and compared with pathological examination results.Re-sults:The sensitivity of LBC under NBI-ME for diagnosing GIM was 85.29%,the specificity was 86.58%,the posi-tive predictive value was 81.31%,the negative predictive value was 89.58%,the Youden index was 71.87%.The ken-dall's tau-b analysis showed a significant positive correlation between operative link on gastritis assessment based on intestinal metaplasia(OLGIM)stage and LBC endoscopic grading, with a correlation coefficient of 0.729.Conclusion:NBI-ME shows high consistency with pathological histology.NBI-ME can immediately make enterization classifica-tion and make monitoring recommendations.Whether it can completely replace biopsy needs further research.
