Abstract:Objective:To explore the application effect of red furnace reinforcement therapy in patients with wind-phlegm blocking collaterals facial neuritis. Methods:Sixty patients with wind-phlegm blocking collaterals facial neuri-tis,hospitalized in the neurology department of a tertiary hospital in Guangdong Province from October 2023 to May 2024 were selected, and randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 30 patients in each group. The control group received acupoint injection of mouse nerve growth factor, while the observation group received red furnace reinforcement therapy in addition to the control treatment, once every other day for 30 minutes each time. Before and af-ter the intervention for 2 weeks, the patients in the two groups were evaluated by facial nerve function rating scale(H-B),modified peripheral facial nerve treatment score scale(Portmann)and facial disability index(FDI),and the cura-tive effects of the two groups were compared. Results:After the intervention, the grade of H-B scale in the two groups was better than that before the intervention, and the observation group was better than the control group, with statisti-cal significance(P<0.05).After the intervention, the scores of Portmann scale and physical function in FDI scale in the two groups were higher than those before the intervention, the observation group was higher than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the intervention, the social function score in the FDI scale was lower than that before the intervention, and the observation group was lower than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:Red furnace reinforcement therapy can effec-tively improve the facial nerve function of patients with wind-phlegm blocking collaterals facial neuritis, reduce psy-chological burden, and improve quality of life.
