Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of two stent placement methods in preventing ureteral stricture after int-racavitary lithotripsy for incarcerated ureteral stones. Methods:All 120 patients with embedded ureteral stones who un-derwent intracavitary lithotripsy in enshi central hospital were selected and included from January 2023 to June 2024.They were divided into two groups according to different stent placement methods:a control group of 62 cases(with 1 D-J tube placed after surgery)and an observation group of 58 cases(with 2 D-J tubes placed after surgery). The perioperative indicators, postoperative recovery, incidence of stenosis and stent-related complications were observed in the two groups. Results:There was no significant difference in postoperative hospitalization time, stent placement time, postoperative residual stone rate, postoperative pain, and the chinese version of wisconsin stone quality of life question-naire(C-WISQOL)score and the incidence of complications related to stent tubes between the two groups(P>0.05).The incidence of ureteral stricture in the observation group(5.17%)was significantly lower than that in the control group(17.74%)(P<0.05).Conclusion:For patients with embedded ureteral stones, placing two D-J tubes after int-racavitary lithotripsy can reduce the risk of ureteral stricture without affecting postoperative recovery.
