Analysis on the current situation of health literacy and its influencing factors of patients with perma-nent enterostomy in regional specialist alliance hospitals

Abstract：Objective:Based on the regional specialty alliance unit,to understand the health literacy level of patients with permanent enterostomy and analyze its influencing factors.Methods:Convenient sampling method was used to se-lect the patients who underwent permanent enterostomy in the tertiary hospitals of the specialized alliance in Mianyang area as the study objects.General data questionnaire and enterostomy health literacy scale were used to investigate the results,and statistical analysis was conducted.Results:The total score of health literacy of patients with permanent en-terostomy was(108.5±23.92).Univariate analysis showed that age,education level,place of residence,marital status and occupation had influence on the health literacy of patients with permanent enterostomy(P＜0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that education level and marital status were the main factors affecting the health literacy of patients with permanent enterostomy(P＜0.05).Conclusion:The survey results regarding the current status of health literacy among patients with permanent enterostomy in the region indicate that there is a need to enhance patients' health literacy.This can be achieved by promoting comprehensive disease management for patients with permanent en-terostomy within specialized alliance units,implementing regular postoperative health education,expanding the scope of health education content,and offering diversified health education approaches.These measures aim to reduce the inci-dence of stoma-related complications and improve the quality of life for patients.
