Research on the development experience and insights of medical libraries in supporting scientific re-search services in China

Abstract：Objective:This study examines the role of medical libraries in supporting scientific research services.Methods:Analyzing the information needs of researchers,and exploring the practical measures and achievements of medical libraries in supporting scientific research services using peking university medical library and china medical a-cademy library as examples.The study also proposes strategies for medical libraries to support scientific research serv-ices.Results:Findings indicate that medical libraries have significant room for improvement in areas such as information resources,information retrieval and processing,academic exchanges and cooperation,and personalized and customized services.Conclusion:Medical libraries need to start by optimizing information resource development,innovating infor-mation service models,strengthening information literacy education,and expanding cooperation and communication to continuously enhance their scientific research support capabilities and contribute to medical research in China.
