Abstract:Objective:To explore the effects of handshake combined with informational support provided before an-esthesia induction on physiological and psychological states as well as nursing satisfaction among patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Methods:Eighty—four patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy in hepatobiliary surgery were enrolled by convenient sampling method, and the patients were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method, with 42 cases in each group.Patients in the control group were given routine surgical care, while patients in the observation group were supported by visiting nurses who shook hands before anesthesia induction on the basis of routine care. The physiological indexes, psychological indexes and nursing satisfac-tion before anesthesia induction were compared between the two groups. Results:There were no significant differences between groups in systolic and diastolic blood pressures measured preoperatively and prior to anesthesia induction(P>0.05).However,significant differences in heart rate prior to anesthesia induction were observed between groups(P<0.05).Anxiety scores before anesthesia induction were significantly lower in the observation group compared to the control group(P<0.05).Furthermore,nursing satisfaction scores were significantly higher in the observation group compared to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Implementing handshake and informational support prior to an-esthesia induction effectively reduces preoperative and induction—related stress, alleviates anxiety and tension, and en-hances surgical comfort and patient satisfaction with nursing care.
