The effect of wrist ankle acupuncture combined with acupoint application nursing on the immune func-tion and sleep quality of postoperative lung cancer patients

Abstract：Objective:To explore the application effect of wrist ankle acupuncture combined with acupoint applica-tion nursing for patients undergoing radical lung cancer surgery.Methods:A total of 80 patients who underwent radical lung cancer surgery in the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January to December in 2023 were selected.They were randomly divided into two groups using a random number table method,40 cases in each group.The control group was treated with wrist—ankle acupuncture,while the observation group was treated with wrist—ankle acupuncture combined with acupoint application.The immune function and the score of visual analogue scale(V AS),cancerous fatigue scale(CFS),Pittsburgh sleep quality index scale(PSQI),and cancer patient quality of life scale(EORTCQLQ—C30)were compared between the two groups.Results:Before treatment,there was no significant difference between the two groups in VAS score,immune function and CFS score,PSQI score and EORTCQLQ—C30 score(P＞0.05).After treatment,the scores of CD4+,CD4+/CD8+and EORTCQLQ—C30 in the two groups were higher than those before treatment,and the observation group was higher than the control group.After treatment,the VAS score,CFS score,PSQI score and CD8+in the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and and the observation group was lower than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Postoperative care of lung cancer patients using wrist and ankle acupuncture combined with acupoint appli-cation can significantly enhance the body's immunity and improve sleep quality.
