Abstract:Objective:To explore the clinical effect of the health belief-based stepped care intervention strategy in school-aged children with severe pneumonia. Methods:A total of 120 children with severe pneumonia at school age were selected as the study sample, from June 2023 to August 2024.By comparative analysis of nursing plan, observation group(n=60)and control group were randomly divided into n=60)according to the number of medical record number(n=60).The children in the control group were comprehensive routine care, and the children in the observation group were a stepped care intervention strategy based on health beliefs. The questionnaire scores of the improvement time of clinical symptoms, treatment compliance and response methods were compared between the two groups(MCMQ),inci-dence of complications, and satisfaction with care. Results:After the intervention, the improvement time of clinical symptoms in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, and the treatment compliance rate was higher than that in the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of MCMQ in the two groups were higher than before intervention, and the observation group was higher than the control group. However, the yield dimension and avoidance dimension were lower than before intervention, and the observation group was lower than the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in observation group was lower than that in control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The stepped nursing intervention strategy based on health beliefs for children with severe pneumonia can shorten the im-provement time of clinical symptoms, improve treatment compliance, improve coping style, reduce the incidence of com-plications,and improve nursing satisfaction.
