Application effect of external application of sihuang san combined with mannitol in patients with acute pancreatitis

Abstract：Objective:To observe the application effect of external application of sihuang san combined with manni-tol in patients with acute pancreatitis(AP).Methods:Seventy patients with AP were selected and admitted to hospital from January 2020 to December 2022,and were divided into control group and observation group according to the ran-dom number table method,with 35 cases in each group.The control group was given conventional treatment.On the ba-sis of the control group,the observation group was given sihuang powder combined with mirabilite for external applica-tion to the pancreatic region and shenque point of patients,once a day for 6 hours,and the treatment lasted for 2 weeks.After the intervention,the degree of abdominal pain,the degree of abdominal distension,the time of first exhaustion,the time of defecation and the time of recovery from vomiting were observed in the two groups.Results:There was no sig-nificant difference between the pre-treatment abdominal pain score and abdominal distension score between the two groups(P＞0.05).After treatment,the scores of abdominal pain and abdominal distension in the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the first exhaust time,first defecation time and vomiting recovery time of the two groups were shorter than before treatment,and the observation group was shorter than the control group,with statistical significance(P＜0.05).Conclusion:External application of sihuang san combined with mannitol can reduce the degree of abdominal pain and bloating in patients with AP and promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function.
