Analysis of insulin use in an inpatient pharmacy in xiamen hospital of zhongshan hospital affiliated to fudan university in the first half of 2024

Abstract:Objective:To understand the use and development trend of insulin in the inpatient pharmacy of our hos-pital from January to June 2024,to provide reference for the rational use of clinical insulin and the choice of treatment plan,and to evaluate the rationality of clinical insulin medication.Methods:The hospital information management sys-tem(HIS system)of inpatient pharmacy was used to select the varieties of insulin in use,the number of sales,the a-mount of sales,the frequency of medication use(DDDs),defined daily cost(DDC),and the ratio of the order of the a-mount of medication used(B)to the order of the DDDs(A),and the ratio of the order of the amount of medication used(B/A)was used to compare the synchronicity of the use of medication from January through June 2024.Results:The a-mount of insulin medication from January to June 2024 increased increasing,Among them,the sales amount of insulin glargine injection(product name:laiyoushi)and insulin aspart injection(product name:novo ruitechong)were basically in the top three in the first half of 2024.Insulin Glargine injection,insulin aspart injection and human insulin injection(product name:novolin rrefill)DDDs were basically in the top three in the first half of 2024.Conclusion:From January to June 2024,the clinical use of insulin in hospitalized patients was basically reasonable,and the selection was in accord-ance with the norms.In order to ensure the standardization and rationality of clinical use of drugs,different therapeutic measures should be taken according to the characteristics of different patients,and individualized drug administration should be achieved as much as possible.
