Abstract:Objective:To explore the application effect of using 0℃ physiological saline combined with postopera-tive sucralfate oral solution for mouthwash in pediatric patients after tonsillectomy. Methods:All 100 patients who un-derwent tonsillectomy in Xinyu Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from October 2022 to December 2023 were se-lected as the research subjects and randomly divided into two groups of 50 each using a random number table method.Postoperative mouth rinsing with aluminum thioglycollate oral solution was given to both groups. The control group was given routine physiological saline combined with hemostasis, while the observation group was given 0℃ saline with hemostasis, comparing the bleeding, pain, postoperative recovery, and complications were compared between the two groups. Results:The incidence of bleeding, the incidence of complications, and the scores of pain degree at 2 h and 7 d after operation in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the time of pseudomembrane shedding, the time of starting to eat and the hospital stay after operation were shorter than those in the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of 0℃ physiological saline and postoperative su-cralfate oral solution for mouthwash has a good application effect on postoperative bleeding and swelling of tonsils in children. It can effectively reduce the occurrence of bleeding and postoperative pain,as well as reduce the occurrence of complications and shorten the postoperative recovery time.
