Abstract:Objective:To explore the application effect of the concept of achieving behavioral goals in postoperative nursing of knee osteoarthritis(KOA).Methods:All 126 patients who underwent KOA surgery at wuhan integrated tra-ditional chinese and western medicine orthopedic hospital from April 2023 to May 2024 were selected as the study sam-ple.The patients were randomly divided into control group(conventional follow—up intervention)and observation group(based on conventional intervention combined with behavioral goal achievement concept intervention),using a random number table method, with each group receiving 90 days of intervention. The scores of exercise compliance scale after intervention, arthritis self—efficacy scale(ASES),knee joint score(HSS)and visual analogue scale(VAS)before and after intervention were compared between the two groups. The occurrence of postoperative complications were ob-served.Results:After the intervention, the score of exercise compliance scale in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before the intervention, there was no significant difference in the scores of ASES,HSS and VAS between the two groups(P>0.05).After intervention, both ASES and HSS scores were improved, and the observation group was higher than the control group. However, the VAS scores of both groups decreased, and the observation group was lower than the control group, with statistical sig-nificance(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:The intervention based on the concept of achieving behavioral goals can improve the compliance and self—efficacy of KOA surgery patients with out of hospital functional exercise, promote knee joint function recovery, and provide better pain relief without an increase in complications, which is helpful for the rehabilitation of KOA sur-gery patients.
