Abstract:Objective:To analyze the predictive value of combined sperm DNA fragmentation(DFI)and sperm via-bility on the outcome of in vitro fertilization—embryo transfer(IVF—ET).Methods:A total of 218 infertility patients who underwent IVF—ET from January 2021 to December 2023 in hospital were selected as the study subjects, and were divided into 79 cases in Group A(DFI>25%)and 139 cases in Group B(DFI ≤ 25%),according to the DFI level of the male partner's sperm, and then divided into 157 cases in Group C(survival rate≥85%)and 61 cases in Group D ac-cording to the survival rate of the male partner's sperm(survival rate<85%).The outcome of assisted conception and related indicators were compared between the different groups, and the predictive value of the two indicator tests on the outcome of assisted conception was analyzed. Results:The difference between sperm concentration in group A and group B was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The sperm level of forward movement, the positive rate of human chorionic gonadotropin(HCG)and the pregnancy rate in group A were lower than those in group B,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in sperm concentration,HCG positive rate and early abortion rate between group C and group D(P>0.05).The sperm level and pregnancy rate in group C were higher than those in group D,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was a negative correla-tion between sperm DFI and pregnancy rate, and a positive correlation between sperm survival rate and pregnancy rate(P<0.05).Conclusion:Sperm DFI and sperm survival rate both have an important influence on the outcome of IVF—ET in assisted conception,in which the lower the sperm DFI and the higher the sperm survival rate, the higher the preg-nancy success rate, which has a certain predictive value in clinical application.
