Effect of electroacupuncture stimulation therapy combined with Schross gymnastics in adolescents with idiopathic scoliosis

Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of electroacupuncture stimulation therapy combined with Schross gym-nastics in adolescent patients with idiopathic scoliosis.Methods:All 100 adolescent idiopathic scoliosis patients in gan-zhou people's hospital from September 2020 to September 2023,according to the random table method into 50 cases of control group the gymnastics treatment,observation group 50 cases of electroacupuncture stimulation therapy combined with the gymnastics treatment,observe the rehabilitation effect,the vertebral body rotation and pain(VAS score)and quality of life[scoliosis research institute 22(SRS—22)questionnaire].Results:The total effective rate of the observa-tion group(96%)was higher than that of the control group(80%),with statistical significance(P<0.05).Before treatment,there was no significant difference between the two groups in vertebral rotation and pain score(P>0.05).After treatment,the rotation degree of the vertex vertebra in the observation group was significantly lower than that be-fore treatment,and the observation group was lower than that in the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).After treatment,the pain score in the observation group was lower than that before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment,there was no significant difference in the scores of SRS—22 ques-tionnaire between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,the scores of SRS—22 questionnaire in the two groups were higher than before treatment,and the observation group was higher than the control group,with statistical signifi-cance(P<0.05).Conclusion:Combining electroacupuncture stimulation therapy with Schross gymnastics in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis is effective,not only to reduce pain,but also to improve the quality of life.
