Abstract:Objective:To explore the application effect of myoelectric biofeedback in elderly patients with upper limb monoplegia after stroke. Methods:A total of 100 elderly patients with upper limb monoplegia after stroke treated in Henan Veteran Cadres Rehabilitation Hospital from December 2021 to December 2023 were selected as the study ob-jects and randomly divided into rope group and biological group.50 patients in the rope group were given proprioceptive neuromuscular rope training, and 50 patients in the biological group were given myoelectric biofeedback on the basis of the rope group. The upper limb motor function, the electrophysiological indexes of the affected cortex and the ability of daily living were compared between the two groups. Results:After 4 weeks of treatment, the scores of Fugl—Meyer Rating Scale(FMA—UE)and Wolf Motor function test(WMFT)in both groups were higher than those before treat-ment,and those in biological group were higher than those in rope group(P<0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment, the amplitude of motor evoked potential(MEP)in both groups was higher than that before treatment, and the biological group was higher than the rope group. The levels of central motor conduction time(CMCT)and cortical latency(CL)were lower than those before treatment, and the biological group was lower than the rope group, there was significient difference(P<0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment, the scores of Functional Independence Rating Scale(FIM)and modi-fied barthel index(MBI)in both groups were higher than those before treatment, and those in biological group were higher than those in rope group, there was significient difference(P<0.05).Conclusion:Myoelectric biofeedback can improve the upper limb motor ability, regulate the electrophysiological indexes of the affected cortex, and improve the a-bility of daily living in patients with upper limb monoplegia after stroke.
