Analysis of the efficacy of rehabilitation robotic glove combined with electromyographic biofeedback therapy to improve hand function rehabilitation in hemiplegia with stroke

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the effectiveness of rehabilitation robot glove combined with electromyographic biofeedback therapy in improving the rehabilitation of hand function in stroke patients with hemiplegia.Methods:Sixty patients with stroke—induced hemiplegia and hand dysfunction who were hospitalized in pinxiang mining group CO.Ltd general hospital from June 2022 to January 2024 were included in the study.The patients were randomly divided into two groups with 30 patients each at a ratio of 1∶1.Both groups received conventional rehabilitation therapy.The con-trol group received additional electromyographic biofeedback therapy,while the observation group received rehabilita-tion robot glove combined with electromyographic biofeedback therapy on the basis of conventional treatment.Before and after treatment,the recovery of motor function,hand function,and self—care ability were compared and evaluated between the two groups.Results:Before treatment,there was no significant difference in Fugl—Meyer wrist score,range of motion of wrist extensor joint and improved Barthle index score between the two groups(P＞0.05).After treatment,the scores of patients in both groups were significantly improved(P＜0.001).In addition,the scores of the observation group were better than those of the control group,and the rehabilitation effect was better than that of the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Compared with electromyographic biofeedback therapy alone,the combination of rehabilitation robot glove and electromyographic biofeedback therapy can significantly promote the recovery of hand function and fine motor activities,enhance active wrist extension range of motion,and improve self—care ability.
