Analysis on the use of narcotic drugs in outpatient and emergency department of xiangtan central hospi-tal during the period of 2020 to 2023

Abstract:Objective:To analyze and evaluate the use of narcotic drugs in outpatient and emergency of Xiangtan Central Hospital,and to provide reference for clinical rational use and scientific management of narcotic drugs.Meth-ods:The data of narcotic drugs from 2020 to 2023 provided by the computer HIS system in Xiangtan Central Hospital were collected,and amount of narcotic drugs,consumption sum,drug use frequency(DDDs),drug daily cost(DDC),and sorting ratio(B/A)were statistically analyzed.Results:Patients with cancer pain were the main use crowd of narcotic drugs in hospital,and the amount of narcotic drugs used and consumption sum increased year by year.The top 3 narcot-ic drugs ranked by DDDs were morphine hydrochloride sustained-release tablets,morphine sulfate sustained-release tablets and oxycodone hydrochloride sustained-release tablets(10 mg).DDC of narcotic drugs were relatively stable,and the top 3 were fentanyl transdermal patch,oxycodone hydrochloride sustained-release tablets(10 mg)and oxyc-odone hydrochloride sustained-release tablets(40 mg).The B/A values of bucinnazine hydrochloride injection,pucin-nazine hydrochloride tablet,morphine hydrochloride injection and pethidine hydrochloride injection were 1 or close to 1 in consecutively four years,indicating good synchronization,and the B/A values of other drugs were 0.33~2.0.During 2 020 to 2023,the proportion of irrational prescription of narcotic drugs respectively were 6.8%,5.7%,5.0%and 2.8%.Conclusion:The use of narcotic drugs in outpatient and emergency department of xiangtan central hospital from 2020 to 2023 is basically reasonable,and the quality of management has been improved,but there are still some deficien-cies,which need further efforts to strenthen the management and intervention.
