Efficacy of palliative care in patients with advanced gastrointestinal tumors under a one core and multi-ple modes

Abstract:Objective:To explore the clinical effect of hospice care in patients with advanced digestive tract cancer under the mode of one core and multiple elements,and its influence on their happiness level and psychological state.Methods:All 120 patients with advanced digestive tract cancer admitted to hospital from January 2022 to January 2023 were randomly divided into two groups.60 patients in the control group were given routine care,while 60 patients in the observation group were given hospice care under the mode of one core and multiple,and both groups were intervened for 3 months.Physiological symptoms[edmonton symptom rating scale(ESAS)],well-being[overall well-being scale(GWB)],quality of life[quality of life assessment scale for cancer(QLQ-C30)]and negative emotions[self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)and self-rating depression scale(SDS)]were compared between the two groups before and after the intervention.Results:There was no difference in the scores of ESAS,SAS and SDS between the two groups before the intervention(P>0.05),but all the scores of the two groups decreased after the intervention.The scores of ESAS,SAS and SDS in the observation group were lower after the intervention(P<0.05).There was no difference in the scores of GWB and QLQ-C30 between the two groups before the intervention(P>0.05),but the scores of both groups increased after the intervention.The scores of GWB and QLQ-C30 in the observation group were higher after the intervention(P<0.05).Conclusion:The hospice care under the mode of one core and multiple elements can im-prove the physiological symptoms of patients with advanced digestive tract tumors,thus improving their quality of life,alleviating their anxiety and depression,and improving their happiness.
