Abstract:Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of the combination therapy of irbesartan and nifedipine controlled-release tablets in the management of hypertension. Methods:A total of 120 hospitalized patients with hypertension from January 2021 to January 2023 were enrolled and randomly assigned to either the control group or the observation group using a random number table, with 60 patients in each group. The control group received nife-dipine controlled-release tablets, whereas the observation group was treated with a combination of irbesartan and nife-dipine controlled-release tablets.Blood pressure, clinical parameters, and adverse reactions were recorded and com-pared between the two groups. Results:After treatment, the blood pressure and various indexes in the observation group were improved better than those in the control group, and the adverse reaction rate was lower than that in the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of irbesartan and nifedipine con-trolled-release tablets demonstrates significant therapeutic efficacy in the treatment of hypertension, with the addition-al benefits of fewer side effects, improved patient compliance, and a reduced risk of complications, making it a valuable option for clinical application.
