Abstract:Objective:To explore the effects of percutaneous nerve electrical stimulation(TENS)combined with isokinetic centrifugal training on pain severity and muscle strength in patients with knee osteoarthritis(KOA).Meth-ods:All 100 KOA patients admitted to hospital from January 2022 to January 2024 were randomly divided into two groups using a random number table method. The control group received isokinetic centrifugal training intervention, while the observation group received combined TENS intervention.Compare the pain intensity, muscle strength, knee joint function, and quality of life between the two groups. Results:Before the intervention, there was no statistically signifi-cant difference in pain level, muscle strength, knee joint function, and quality of life between the two groups(P>0).05).After intervention, the visual analogue scale(VAS)score, western ontario and mcmaster university osteoarthritis index(WOMAC)score of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, muscle strength value was grea-ter than the control group, the generic quality of life inventory-74(GQOLI-74)was higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:TENS combined with isokinetic centrifugal training can effectively enhance muscle strength, improve knee joint function, reduce knee pain, and improve quality of life in KOA patients, with significant effects.
