Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of three-dimensional traumatic external fixation system(3D-EFS)in the treatment of traumatic tibia and fibula open fracture. Methods:A retrospective analysis method was used to collect the medical records of 42 patients with traumatic tibia and fibula open fractures admitted to our hospital from December 2019 to December 2023.According to different treatment methods, the patients were divided into the control group(n=20,received conventional internal fixation treatment)and the observation group(n=22,received 3D-EFS treatment). The fracture healing, ankle joint function and postoperative complications were compared and analyzed between the two groups. Results:The fracture healing score at 1 month after surgery in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).At 3 months after surgery, the ankle function scores of the two groups were increased, and the pain, function and mobility scores of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).The incidence rate of complication in the observation group at 6 months after surgery was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions:3D-EFS in the treatment of traumatic tibia and fibula open fracture has the advantages of simple operation, promoting fracture healing and less complications.
