Clinical value of acupoint selection acupuncture based on the theory of'Guiding Yin from Yang'in pa-tients with chronic pelvic pain

Abstract：Objective:To explore the clinical value of acupoint acupuncture based on the theory of"Guiding Yin from Yang"in patients with chronic pelvic pain(CPP).Methods:A total of 106 patients with chronic pelvic pain in hos-pital from November 2021 to December 2023 were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,with 53 patients in each group.The control group was treated with conventional ibuprofen,and the observation group was trea-ted with acupuncture according to the theory of'inducing Yin from Yang',including Baluo,Shenshu,Zhibian,Mingmen and Sanyinjiao.The treatment cycle of the two groups was 3 months.The visual analogue scale(VAS)and the pelvic examination scale(Mc Cormack)were used to evaluate the subjective and objective pain of the patients respectively.The clinical total effective rate,quality of life score and pelvic floor function were compared between the two groups af-ter treatment.Results:The vas and MC Cormack scale scores of CPP patients in the two groups after treatment were significantly decreased compared with those before treatment.The vas and MC Cormack scale scores of the observation group after treatment were significantly lower than those of the control group(P＜0.05).In terms of clinical total ef-fective rate,the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P＜0.05).The pain,control powerlessness,emotional health score and total score of the observation group after treatment were significantly im-proved compared with those of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of pelvic floor dysfunction between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion:Ac-upuncture Based on the theory of'guiding Yin from Yang'can effectively improve the pain symptoms of patients,signifi-cantly improve the quality of life,with significant curative effect,high safety.
