Nursing experience of perioperative symptom management in 1 case of pancreatic cancer with superior mesenteric artery and vein reconstruction

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the nursing impact on perioperative patients undergoing total pancreas com-bined with superior mesenteric artery and vein resection and reconstruction in 1 patient.Methods:The nursing process of a pancreatic cancer patient with superior mesenteric artery and vein involvement,diagnosed and treated in July,2021,was retrospectively analyzed to summarize the nursing measures and effects.Results:Narrative nursing method was em-ployed preoperatively to effectively alleviate psychological pressure and physical discomfort in patients.Emphasis was placed on patient safety and team cooperation during the operation to reduce surgical time;prevention of complications,care of drainage tubes,and monitoring of blood glucose were prioritized to expedite recovery of various physiological functions.After 22 days of treatment and nursing,the patient's symptoms improved,leading to discharge from the hos-pital.Conclusion:Patients with pancreatic cancer should receive psychological support as well as comprehensive person-alized care plans tailored to their condition in order to promote recovery while reducing complication rates.
