Observation on the therapeutic effect of houpu exhaust mixture combined with abdominal microwave therapy on postoperative abdominal distension in children undergoing painless colonoscopy

Abstract：Objective:To explore the application effect of houpu exhaust mixture combined with abdominal micro-wave treatment for postoperative abdominal distension in children undergoing painless colonoscopy.Methods:Sixty chil-dren with postoperative abdominal distension after painless colonoscopy admitted to hospital from July 2022 to Septem-ber 2023 were randomly divided into two groups,with 30 cases in each group.The control group was treated with ab-dominal microwave therapy alone,while the experimental group was treated with oral houpu exhaust mixture combined therapy.The recovery of gastrointestinal function and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups,and the therapeutic effect was evaluated.Results:The recovery time of bowel sounds,first exhaust,first defeca-tion,and complete relief of abdominal distension in the experimental group were shorter than those in the control group(P＜0.05).The total effective rate of treatment and gastrointestinal function indicators after treatment were better than those in the control group(P＜0.05),and there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion:The combination of houpu exhaust mixture and abdominal microwave therapy can effectively alleviate discomfort symptoms in children after painless colonoscopy,and is safe and reliable.
