Abstract:Objective:To investigate the expression levels and clinical significance of interleukin(IL)-17 and IL-22 in the serum of syphilis patients before and after treatment and in healthy individuals. Methods:Flow cytometry was used to detect the expression levels of IL-17 and IL-22 in the serum of syphilis patients, treated syphilis patients and healthy individuals. Results:The serum expression level of IL-22 in the healthy group was lower than that in the syph-ilis group(P<0.05).However,the expression level of IL-17 in serum was not statistically significant in the above three groups. The results of ROC curve showed that the AUC value of IL-22 in serum for predicting syphilis was 0.848(P<0.05),which confirmed that IL-22 had high diagnostic value. The AUC value of IL-17 was not statistically significant.Conclusion:IL17 and IL-22 are important cytokines in the immune mechanism of syphilis, and IL-22 has important clinical value in the diagnosis and treatment of syphilis.
