Impact of traditional Chinese medicine enema combined with multimedia education model on quality of life and inflammation level of patients with chronic colitis

Abstract：Objective:To analyze the impact of herbal enema combined with multimedia education model on quality of life and inflammation level in patients with chronic colitis.Methods:A total of 80 cases of chronic colitis patients were enrolled in our hospital from January 2020 to January 2023,and the single-double number method evenly divided the 80 patients into:conventional group(n=40)and experimental group(n=40),the conventional group implemented herbal enemas on the basis of conventional care,and the experimental group was supplemented with multimedia tutori-als on the basis of the conventional group.The clinical efficacy,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,quality of life,inflammation level and self-care ability were compared between the two groups.Results:After 1 month of inter-vention,the clinical efficacy of the experimental group was markedly higher than that of the conventional group(P＜0.05).Before intervention,there was no significant difference in the scores of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome be-tween the two groups(P＞0.05),but after intervention,the scores of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome in both groups were lower than that before intervention,and the scores in the observation group were lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05).Before intervention,there was no significant difference in the scores of quality of life between the two groups(P＞0.05).In comparison with the conventional group,after 1 month of intervention,the quality of life scores of patients in the experimental group were clearly elevated(P＜0.05).Before intervention,there was no signifi-cant difference in the levels of inflammatory factors between the two groups(P＞0.05).In comparison with the con-ventional group,after 1 month of intervention,the level of inflammatory factors of patients in the experimental group was obviously lowered(Pall＜0.05).Before intervention,there was no significant difference in the scores of self-care ability between the two groups(P＞0.05).In comparison with the conventional group,after 1 month of intervention,the scores of patients in the experimental group in terms of self-care ability were seriously elevated(P＜0.05).Con-clusion:The clinical efficacy of Chinese medicine enema combined with multimedia education mode is better,and the Chinese medicine symptom score of the patients decreased significantly after the intervention,and the quality of life,the level of inflammatory factor and the self-care ability improved more conspicuously.
