Abstract:Objective:To explore the value of apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC)and diffusion-weighted imaging(DWI)combined detection in the diagnosis of small liver cancer. Methods:A total of 91 patients with suspected small liver cancer admitted to hospital from February 2021 to October 2023 were selected, all of whom underwent routine magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)and DWI examination on admission, and ADC values were recorded.Biopsy was performed at selected time, and based on the results, the diagnosis of small liver cancer was judged.DWI signal intensity was observed in patients with small hepatocellular carcinoma and non-small hepatocellular carcinoma, and ADC values were compared between the two groups. The value of ADC and DWI in the diagnosis of small liver cancer was analyzed.Results:Ninty-one suspected patients with small liver cancer,60 cases were diagnosed with small liver cancer(70 le-sions),accounting for 65.93%.There were 31 cases of non-small liver cancer(42 lesions),accounting for 34.06%,including 18 cases of hepatic hemangioma(23 lesions),13 cases of degenerative nodules(19 lesions).Among 70 small liver cancer foci,68 foci showed high/high signal on DWI,and 2 foci showed equal signal. All 23 hepatic hemangioma le-sions showed high/high signal on DWI.All 19 degenerative nodules showed low/low signal on DWI.ADC value in small liver cancer group was lower than that in non-small liver cancer group, with statistical difference(P<0.05).The re-ceiver operating characteristic curve(ROC)was drawn, and the results showed that ADC value had a certain value in the diagnosis of small liver cancer, and area under curve(AUC)value was 0.783,and when the cut-off value of ADC value was 1.115×10-3 mm2/s,the best diagnostic value could be obtained. Conclusion:Small hepatocellular carcinoma shows high/high signal and low ADC value on DWI.The combined detection of the two can improve the diagnostic val-ue of small hepatocellular carcinoma.
