Effect of jianpi shugan huatan formula on the treatment of children with tourette syndrome and its in-fluence on neurotransmitter secretion level

Abstract：Objective:To analyze the effect of jianpi shugan huatan prescription on the secretion of neurotransmitter in children with Tourette syndrome.Methods:A total of 98 children with Tourette syndrome admitted to hospital from November 2020 to November 2022 were selected as research objects and grouped by random number table method.49 cases in control group were treated with thiopride hydrochloride,and 49 cases in observation group were treated with jianpi shugan huatan formula.After 8 weeks,the clinical efficacy,severity of disease,neurotransmitter secretion level,recurrence and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of observation group was higher than that of control group(P＜0.05).The scores of motor twitch and vocal twitch in test groups were lower than those in control group(P＜0.05).The levels of brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF)in observation groups was higher than those in control group,but the levels of dopamine(DA),norepinephrine(NE),glutamic acid(GLU)and aspartic acid(ASP)in observation groups were lower than those in control group(P＜0.05).The recur-rence rate of observation group was lower than that of control group(P＜0.05).There were no obvious adverse reac-tions in both groups.Conclusion:The combination of jianpi shugan huatan formula and thiopride hydrochloride can ef-fectively reduce the severity of children with tourette syndrome,improve the level of neurotransmitter secretion,im-prove the therapeutic effect,and high safety,not easy to relapse.
